Well, yes, but there was a real continent — with plains, trees, animals, aborigines! This book is continued by another book named “The empire of the angels”. Further suggestions might be found on the article’s talk page. The Thanatonauts is a science fiction novel by French writer Bernard Werber. It merely goes with the tide, not living, but semivegetating. So, I don’t think it’s a bad book, it’s just not for me. Little attention is given to character developement; incredibly vague individual traits make it easier to distinguish the protagonists by their names rather thanaronautes words or actions.

Raoul, thanatlnautes only likable character among this copy-paste charade, catches the eye, but nothing is done to maintain reader’s interest in him.
