For 40 years, Kleppner and Kolenkow’s classic text has introduced students to the principles of mechanics. It took me a few reads through to grasp the solutions. Another issue I’ve heard about is that even though the exercises are excellent, no solutions or answers manual is published, so it can be difficult to figure out whether your result is correct.
