I enjoyed this one. Hideway is a great read. Certain characters were changed, but all the main characters in the book are in the movie. For those like myself who enjoyed “The Bad Place”, “Hideaway” is another winner in the inimitable Koontz style featuring clear characters, incredibly well-described action and a breathtaking finale this time, set in an abandoned Orange County amusement park.

After stripping story, character, and theme from the novel, the director and studio execs failed to replace them with anything, resulting in hideawat a series of images and noises. And then the climatic conslusion comes which is one of the worst in his career, and the man has penned some of the most awful endings in the history of fiction. Hatch is a great guy who obviously had the blunt end of the stick in life, but because of this strives to be the best he can.

He is brought back to life by an experimental resuscitation. He’s kind of hard to miss, with his annual novel, released in January, that shoots to the top of the bestseller lists for a few weeks. Lindsey was able to roll with the flow. Vassago is one creepy guy and enough mystery is enshrouded around him to leave the reader from becoming bored. No trivia or quizzes yet. The plot is not exactly propelled along either thanks to an almost complete lack of action.

Having been trying to finish the Odd Thomas series, I tried very hard to push hideeaway 6, okontz I just couldn’t do it, the series started out good but now it just feels like it’s lost it’s magic.
