Also before reading this book I had many preconceptions as far medieval life from being exposed to films that were incorrect to say the least, this book really clears up those misconceptions we tend to have about medieval life. Obviously can’t bw a complete biography due to the lack of available primary sources, but the book uses Cecilia as a basis for reconstructing an average social, economic, and gendered life.
